These General Sales Conditions (T&C) apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded by ARTHES with non-professional buyers who wish to buy JEANNE EN PROVENCE products on its website www.jeanne-en-provence.com.These conditions apply to the exclusion of all other conditions, and in particular those applicable for in-store sales or those by other distribution and sales circuits.These general sales conditions are accessible at all times on this website and, where applicable, shall prevail over any other version or any other contradictory document.Unless there is evidence to the contrary, the data saved by ARTHES constitutes evidence of all transactions.Amendments to these T&C are enforceable against users of the site from the date they are published online and cannot be applied to transactions concluded previously.Validation of the order by the purchaser is deemed as unreserved acceptance of these T&C, which is expressly recognised by the purchaser, who in particular waives the right to rely on any contradictory document which is not enforceable against JEANNE EN PROVENCE.

Characteristics of the Products Offered

The products offered are those shown in the catalogue published on ARTHES's website JEANNE EN PROVENCE.These products are offered within the limitations of the stocks available.ARTHES reserves the right to modify the products in stock at any time.Each product is accompanied by a description drawn up by ARTHES and as accurate a photograph as possible, but it is not possible to guarantee that it is identical to the product on offer, in particular with respect to colours.


The prices included in the catalogue are inclusive of taxes, in euro, according to the VAT applicable on the date of order.Any change in the VAT rate may be reflected in the product prices.ARTHES reserves the right to change its prices at any time; however it is understood that the price shown in the catalogue on the order date shall be the only price applicable to the purchaser.The stated prices do not include delivery costs, which are billed in addition to the price of the products purchased according to the order weight.The delivery costs shall be specified before the purchaser confirms the order.


A purchaser who wishes to buy a product must do the following:

  • fill in the identification form, on which he or she will state all details requested or provide his or her client number if available;
  • fill in the online order form giving all references for the products or services chosen;
  • confirm his or her or order after verifying it and reading the T&C;
  • make the payment under the stipulated conditions;
  • confirm the order and payment.

Confirmation of the order entails acceptance of these T&C, acknowledgement of having read them in full and waiver of the right to rely on your own purchase conditions.The data supplied and confirmation recorded shall be deemed as evidence of the transaction.Confirmation shall be deemed as signature and acceptance of the transactions carried out.JEANNE EN PROVENCE shall send confirmation of the order recorded by email.

Payment Terms

Online card payments shall be made through a secure system which uses the protocol 3D Secure so that the information transmitted is encrypted by software and no third party can read it as it is carried on the network.Your security is a priority for us, this is why:

  • The card number is entered on a secure page hosted by the bank, so the JEANNE EN PROVENCE team has no access to it
  • The information is encrypted (3D Secure technology)
  • The card number is never printed in full on payment slips.

Whatever the payment method, by bank card, the purchaser’s account will be debited when the products are shipped.At the request of the purchaser, a hard copy invoice showing the VAT will be sent.Furthermore, in the event of failure to comply with the payment conditions shown hereinabove, JEANNE EN PROVENCE reserves the right to suspend or cancel delivery of pending orders placed by the purchaser.


The products purchased by the purchaser shall be delivered to the address indicated by the latter when placing the order on the website, within 3 working days in Metropolitan France.Except in special circumstances or due to the unavailability of one or more products, the products ordered shall be delivered at the same time.Orders are sent by Colissimo Suivi, allowing you, through us, to trace your parcel.Products are delivered to the purchaser by post.If the purchaser is absent, he or she will receive a notice of attempted delivery, making it possible to collect the products ordered from the nearest post office within the time period specified by the postal service.Delivery is deemed to be made when the products ordered are handed over by JEANNE EN PROVENCE to the carrier.The transfer of title of the products from JEANNE EN PROVENCE and the corresponding transfer of the connected risks of loss and damage occurs on acceptance of the order by JEANNE EN PROVENCE, as expression of the parties’ agreement on the substance and price, whatever the date of payment and delivery.The products therefore travel at the purchaser’s own risk, and in the event of any problems he or she can make all complaints to the carrier under the legal and regulatory conditions in force.JEANNE EN PROVENCE undertakes to do its utmost to deliver the products ordered within the time periods specified hereinabove.However, these time periods are stated for information purposes only and exceeding them shall not give rise to the payment of damages, deduction or cancellation of the order by the purchaser.Nevertheless, if the products ordered have not been delivered within 30 days from the stated date of delivery, other than due to a case of force majeure, the sale may be terminated on written request by the Purchaser or JEANNE EN PROVENCE.The sums paid by the purchaser shall then be returned immediately, excluding any compensation or deduction.

Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the provisions of article L 121-20 of the French Consumer Code, the purchaser has a cooling-off period of 7 working days from the date of delivery of the produts to return them to JEANNE EN PROVENCE for exchange or reimbursement, provided that the products are returned in their original packaging and in perfect condition.Damaged, soiled or incomplete items cannot be returned.The costs of returns shall be borne exclusively by the purchaser.Returned products must be accompanied by the invoice, and may be sent using the return slip available on the website.Exchanges (subject to availability) or refunds will take place within 7 days from the date of receipt, by JEANNE EN PROVENCE, of the items returned.


All products supplied by the seller are covered by the statutory warranty stipulated by articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code.The purchaser is required to verify the condition of the products delivered.He or she has a period of 30 days from the date of delivery to state in writing all reservations or complaints of non-conformity or visible defect in the products delivered, with all evidence connected thereto.All complaints and requests for exchanges and refunds should be sent by post to the following address:ARTHES, PI DES BOIS DE GRASSE, BP 91006, 06131 GRASSE CEDEX, within 30 days from the date of delivery (the postmark shall be used as evidence thereof).JEANNE EN PROVENCE shall replace delivered products for which visible defects or non-conformities have been duly proven as quickly as possible and at its own expense.When the above period has ended, and if these formalities have not been observed, the products shall be deemed to be in conformity and free of any visible defect, and no complaint may be validly accepted by JEANNE EN PROVENCE.


In this online sale process, the seller is bound only be a best endeavour obligation; its liability cannot be incurred for damage resulting from use of the internet, such as loss of data, intrusion, virus, interruption to service or other unintentional problems.

Settlement of Disputes

The parties expressly agree that this agreement shall be governed by and subject to French law.It is written in French.If it is translated into one or more other languages, only the French text shall be valid in the event of a dispute.ARTHES stores purchase orders and invoices on a reliable and long-lasting medium constituting a faithful copy in accordance with the provisions of article 1348 of the French Civil Code.ARTHES’s electronic registers shall be considered by the parties to be proof of communications, orders, payments and transactions between the purchaser and the seller.
